A UK Civil Servant for 17 years, I have primarily worked in business / trade ministries, with experience also in the Cabinet Office, the Northern Ireland government and the Latvian Economy Ministry. Prior to joining the Civil Service, I worked in the UK Parliament, the NGO sector and as an international affairs consultant. I have a PhD in Ancient History (Eastern Mediterranean) and have worked as an archaeologist in Greece, Romania, the UK and Australia.
