Professor, Department of International and European Economic Studies, Athens University of Economics and Business and member of Monetary Policy Council, Bank of Greece. Formerly, Deputy Minister of Labour in charge of Social Insurance (2020–2025), Chairman of the Greek Government’s Council of Economic Advisers (2012-2014) as well as member of the EU Economic and Financial Committee (EFC) and Eurogroup Working Group (EWG) and alternate member of Ecofin and Eurogroup and Employment and Social Policy advisor to Prime Ministers George Papandreou (2010-2011) and Loukas Papademos (2011-2012). His research focuses on Public Economics and Labour Economics.
