Gina Cohen has been working as a natural gas consultant, lecturer and analyst in the Eastern Mediterranean, since offshore exploration started in Israel in 1998.
During her years of work, Gina was involved in all aspects of the gas chain, with her activities spanning: exploration & development, transmission & distribution, gas sales negotiations both on behalf of buyers and sellers, feasibilities studies on IPPs and FLNG facilities, and other aspects of the regional and global gas markets.
Gina’s main expertise lies in the gas markets of Israel, Palestine, Cyprus, Egypt, Turkey, Jordan and Lebanon, with additional focus of late on Syria. Her general expertise lies in gas geopolitics and the contractual, pricing and economic aspects of natural gas markets.
She is the author of the Hebrew-English energy lexicon (www.hebrewenergy.com), and a book entitled “Long-Term Natural Gas Contracting – Theory and Practice”.
She is a frequent writer and speaker on East Mediterranean gas issues in local and international oil and gas journals and media.
