Dr. Georgios Kolliarakis is coordinator with the European Union’s Dual Use Export Control Global Programme, managed by the Foreign Policy Instrument/European External Action Service. As an expert with more than 20 years’ experience on issues at the intersection of technology and security policy, Georgios advises national ministries and international bodies – including the European Commission, the European Defence Agency, the German Federal Foreign Office and the Armed Forces on matters of emerging security-related technologies, cyber/hybrid threats, as well as on forward-looking planning. Georgios is a member of the DIN Working Committee on Artificial Intelligence Standards, the World Economic Forum Expert Network, and the World Future Studies Federation. Following his Engineering studies, Georgios earned a Master’s degree in Political Geography and a PhD in International Politics & Strategic Studies.
